Actonomy to Launch 'Resume DNA Extractor' as add on to Fuzzy Matching and Searching Platforms to find Better Candidates Faster
Belgium, Gent (PRWEB) November 1, 2007 -- Actonomy, the leading software developer of intelligent matching and searching technology, has launched its 'Resume DNA Extractor' tool as an add-on to the known xMP fuzzy matching and searching platform.
Resumes contain a unique set of characteristics such as experience, skills, work history, preferences, that represent a unique 'candidate DNA'. Resume DNA Extractor analyses resumes, and builds a powerful knowledge base which is used by the xMP semantic matching engine.
The Resume DNA Extractor is based on Actonomy's ontology approach to model and structure knowledge in a rich semantic context extracted from resumes, vacancies, communities or Web 2.0 based user groups. This knowledge can be used -automatically- to perform searches and matches.
Resume DNA Extractor consists of a rich knowledge base consisting of skills, competencies, function descriptions, experiences, education descriptions and task descriptions that are modelled within a specific application domain and sector. This information is 'networked' using rich relations between the different concepts and stored as an extended ontology containing a massive amount of HRM data and stored in a Web 2.0 compliant way.
"As information is stored in its rich context as extracted from live data, it reflects perfectly the behaviour of candidates and recruiters in describing expectations and requirements," says Filip De Geijter, CEO Actonomy. "The approach results in a detailed overview of requirements and in better and faster match results in combination with fuzzy matching technology such as the xMP matching platform."
Resume DNA Extractor offers users a rich knowledge base consisting of : ? Libraries of skills, competencies and tasks including mapping facilities with custom built competence libraries. ? Libraries of job descriptions including equivalent titles and descriptions as used in different contexts, ? Job descriptions expressed as sets of competencies or skills and educations; The system has its built-in knowledge base but also offers the tools to create user specific clustering and to add user specific information, to learn from user behaviour and to predict skills sets or competencies. Resume DNA Extractor is used as a standalone product to create job descriptions, to classify jobs, educations, skills, competencies or in combination with Actonomy xMP for advanced matching and searching functionality.
When used in combination with Actonomy xMP, offers advanced functionality such as : ? Contextual matching including prediction of matches with vacancies; ? Better searching/matching based on latent information; ? Suggest candidates and predict match profiles; ? Find similar profiles with similar DNA's. Actonomy xMP with integrated Resume DNA Extractor has been selected by launch customers for e-recruitment applications such as OTYS (NL) and RecruitActive (UK).
About Actonomy Actonomy is a privately held company specialised in intelligent knowledge management and matching/searching software platforms for the HRM application segment. The core product is used by leading job boards, e-recruitment service providers and large staffing agencies.
